So this is Middle Earth as of mid-april when you last saw it:
And this is where I am now:
There are now 12000 stitches in, so still a way to go ;-)
I am also trying a new technique to avoid gridlines when working on big blocks of color. I'll explain this in my next post (which will be Kriemhild's Revenge), because you can see it better on that project. But you can already see that there is a sort of zick-zack line instead of a strait edge ;-) Up to now, this looks like quite promising.
Great progress. 2200 stitches is a lot.
AntwortenLöschenGreat progress on Middle Earth. It;s a rather daunting project. I think you are brave!
AntwortenLöschenWonderful! I wish I was 12000 stitches into any of my projects, :)
AntwortenLöschenComing along beautifully.mcongratulations
AntwortenLöschenWow! You have some great WIPs. Congratulations on your progress.
AntwortenLöschenFabulous progress on Middle Earth, well done.
AntwortenLöschenGreat progress! You do have some lovely WIPs.
AntwortenLöscheno wow, I have been eyeballing this HaED chart! Lovely to see someone actively working on it. :D
AntwortenLöschenThanks for taking part in GG this month. Ewa is stitching Middle Earth too. It's an amazing design. The zig zag edging is a good idea. I have never stitched in blocks before but I would be concerned about the lines appearing especially in a long term project like this.
AntwortenLöschenDyelots in thread would worry me too!
Wow! Super progress! Impressive project ... these large ones intimidate me.
