And there we are at the middle of April again, so it's time for another GG SAL update! This wonderful SAL is hosted by Jo and you can take a look at the link-up here.
I hope everyone (who celebrates Easter) had a wonderful time with their family and sttill managed to squeeze in a bit of stitching ;-) My days where rather busy with vising my and my bfs family and then the gardening season has started and I was busy getting some plants potted and so on and time just flew by!
I have to projects to show this month.
First up is my promised new start by Tilton Crafts called "In the Moonlight" by Cindy Grundsteen:
It's 300x375 stitches, which makes 25 pages (16 full, 9 partial). With 112 500 stitches it is one of my "smaller" projects and there might be a chance for me to finish this one day :D It also stitches up quite fast so far, since it's only grey background. I will do my best to get a bunch of stitches in this year, maybe I can try to get this over the 12 500 mark, so the left-to-stitch-count drops below 100k. I worked on this for one week and got 3 500 stitches in:
I'm working this on a 28ct Lugana in light grey, which has become my favorite count. Since my boyfriend loves wolves, this goes unto the bf-pile of wolves :D
The next one I worked on was again for bf - his everlasting stocking! I did a bit of work on Candy Cane Santa and since I finished the Haed challenge and the next one is set for - I think - August? I hope he will get some more love.
Last time:
And now:
I actually found the right hand side of the stocking. I know that I started him in the center, so there shouldn't be an issue with the space, but I was still pretty nervous and there is not a lot of space left (Dimensions only leaves you with some 2 inches of border, I prefer 3, but I think it will be fine), but I was happy when I noticed that it will fit. and once this is a stocking, no one will notice it :D I think I will do some work on the window frame next, that should produce some progress!
I am currently thinking about stitching another bird for my bfs mum. I did a small robin last year:
(it's so adorable, I just had to post it here once more!) and I have a another one form Eva Rosenstand in my stash to go with this (reminds me that I always wanted to restitch the robin for myself because I love it so much):
With the robin I found out that it looks so much better in real life, so I am confident that this will be a cutie and it would go well with the robin.
That's it from me for this month, I hope to have some great things to show next month :)
Happy stitching =)
